Boss is among the lowest quality car audio products available and has been for several years. I'm with the first guy that answered. My boyfriend had BOSS and he was not happy either. Good Luck Kicker Comp 07C104 10-Inch 4-Ohm Subwoofer kick hard, even with the low RMS and cheap price! It is very responsive. I bought this sub to listen to double bass for metal and it does it job perfectly. You can't beat the $40 price either. Highly recommend to anyone. Auto parts : Lift Support Acura 1995 . The new pads come with new clips which have dog ears on them- they are long and thin, bend back in. Are these warning tabs (those are on the pads), or some type of spring to force the pads away from each other (no other springs exists). Do I have to bend them back under the pad or how exactly do they sit? Also, should that clip go on the top or bottom part of the caliper? I am just trying to figure out how they go. To be clear, the pads came with two, tin like clips that sit inside the caliper and allow it to slide back and forth. One clip has that extra appendage on it- both inside and outside of the clip. If I do nothing with them, they will just sit there and have no function at all, as they will not touch anything. I think they are about 1" long, then fold back in about 3/4" and they are thin. car insurance. Auto parts : > Spoiler Mitsubishi 2007. Starter Nissan 2008. Steering Stabilizer Oldsmobile 2009. HUMMER . How to Troubleshoot a 1994 Infiniti J30The Infinity J30 was introduced in 1992 and remained in production until 1997. The Infinity brand is the high-end line of cars manufactured by Nissan Motor Company of Japan. The J30 is a rear wheel drive four-door sedan that features a 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder engine. If your Infinity J30 is not performing as you expect, there are a few things you can do to troubleshoot it at home before taking it into a mechanic. Difficulty:Moderately Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Wire brush baking soda Step by Step : 1 Insert the key for your 1994 Infinity J30 into the ignition and turn the key to start the engine. Part of troubleshooting the Infinity J30 is listening for any unusual sounds when you turn the key. If you hear a clicking noise coming from the bottom of the engine compartment, it may be an indication that the starter motor is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. 2 Turn the key, and if the engine turns over slowly or barely at all, stop trying to start the engine, pull the engine hood release and open the hood to the engine compartment. Inspect where the battery cables are connected to the battery. If there is corrosion on the connection, use a wire brush to remove the corrosion. If the corrosion is very bad, mix a cup of water and a tablespoon of baking soda. Pour a little bit of the mixture onto the connection to loosen the corrosion and use the wire brush to clean it off. 3 Take the Infinity J30 for a test drive. Press the accelerator and see how it responds. If you notice a hesitation when you use the accelerator, it may be an indication that the fuel filter is plugged. Remove and replace the fuel filter and take the J30 for another test drive. If the same problem exists, the fuel injectors may be clogged and need servicing. There are gas additives that may resolve the problem. If the problem persists, the injectors will need to be cleaned by a mechanic. 4 Drive the Infinity J30 to an empty parking lot. Accelerate, then press the brakes firmly. If you notice a pulsing feeling in the brake pedal or in the motion of the car, it may be an indication the brake rotors are not wearing evenly. This should be looked at as soon as possible, as it will affect the brakes' ability to stop the car.
HUMMER . How to Check the Volt Meter on a 72 Chevy C10The volt meter on the dashboard of a 1972 Chevrolet C-10 pickup displays the current voltage output of the alternator on the dashboard. If this gauge doesn't read correctly, then your alternator could drop in output and you would never know it, causing the truck to die. To fix the problem, you first need to know if your volt meter is reading correctly. This can be done with the help of an assistant and a multimeter in under 5 minutes. Difficulty:Easy Instructions Things You'll Need Multimeter Assistant Step by Step : 1 Have your assistant start the engine, then let the truck get up to normal operating temperature. Pop the hood. Locate the battery connection on the alternator, which is typically on the driver's side of the engine. Locate the negative terminal on the battery, which is the black terminal with the (-) symbol stamped next to it. 2 Set the multimeter to be able to read DC current. Put the black lead from the multimeter on the negative terminal of the battery, and put the red lead on the battery connection from the alternator. 3 Call out the number on the display of the multimeter to your assistant. Have him compare that number to the number on the volt meter. If the number is off by more than a full volt, then the volt meter is reading incorrectly. If the numbers match or are very close, then the volt meter is reading correctly. These products remove rust and sediment that flushing with plain water can't. If your cooling system has been cleaned regularly and you want to clean it yourself, buy a well-known brand and follow the instructions on the package carefully. Chapter 14: Keeping Your Car from Getting Heartburn Be aware that using a cleaner on a system that has years of built-up rust and sediment can free so much of the stuff that you run the risk of clogging your radiator or thermostat, or possibly loosening the deposits that have prevented the system from leaking. If your vehicle's cooling system hasn't been cleaned for a couple of years, have the system flushed, cleaned, and refilled professionally. Keeping coolant out of the mouthsof babes and small animals Anyone who has raised kids through the crawling and toddling stages knows that they tend pick up the most revolting stuff off the ground and put it into their mouths. Because coolant looks and tastes good, a puddle of the stuff can be hazardous. That goes double for thirsty cats, dogs, and wildlife. Most coolant contains ethylene glycol, which is poisonous when swallowed. According to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency), this chemical causes depression, followed by respiratory and cardiac failure, kidney damage, and brain damage. Although no coolant is completely nontoxic, some coolants on the market contain propylene glycol instead of ethylene glycol to reduce their toxicity. At least one (Prestone LowTox) has received the Seal of Approval from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). However, even if you use this type of coolant, be sure to follow the instructions in this section. Take these steps to protect your pets and small children from accidentally drinking coolant: 1. Make it a habit to check under your vehicle for coolant leaks. If you find a puddle of colored liquid below the under-the-hood area — and it isn't oily — it's probably coolant. HUMMER . Store used coolant safely until disposal. Pour the used coolant into a container with a screw-on cap, label the container as "coolant" or "antifreeze," and place it well out of the reach of kids and pets until you can dispose of it, following the instructions in Step 6. Don't use containers that formerly contained beverages. They are too easily mistaken, and the sweet taste of the coolant can compound the error. 6. Dispose of used coolant safely. The most environmentally safe method is to take the coolant to a recycling center that handles toxic waste or bring it to a place that specifically recycles used coolant. Some auto supply stores accept used coolant as a public service. Call the major stores in your area to see whether they do so. If not, try a service station. They can either run the coolant through their recycling machine or include it in the batch they send out for safe disposal. HUMMER . What number do 2009 license plates start with?
